CEDI Europe supplied equipment for the new state of the art facility, funded by the World Bank and implemented by the Ministry of Health. The facility was officially opened by President Barrow on the 5th of June 2026.
This laboratory will serve as the country’s National Reference Centre to strengthen The Gambia’s capacity to test and certify the safety and quality of food, medicines, and other regulated products.
