These loans are used for a variety of things, from structural reforms of a country’s health and education sectors, to environmental and infrastructure projects such as dams, roads and national parks.

It sets strict demands on its clients, including anti-corruption measures and far-reaching privatization of government services.

In this particular case the loan was used to supply high-end equipment under the Higher Education Improvement Project (HEIP). The objective of the Higher Education Improvement Project for Cambodia is to improve the quality and relevance of higher education and research. All goods were successfully delivered to the Royal University of Phnom Penh in June 2023 and after careful inspection on site they were installed by our highly qualified technical team. After installation the staff of the University was trained by CEDI Europe’s local representative in close collaboration with the manufacturers.

CEDI Europe arranged Armfield technicians to fly over from the UK to Cambodia in order to assist in the installation and training of their equipment. During the four years after installation and training CEDI Europe will perform corrective and preventive maintenance on a bi-yearly base ensuring the continuous support to the University and the teaching level in Cambodia.
